French onion soup

1 large | onion cut with the grain |
Add together in pan. Let simmer for hour to an hour and a half. Add a hint of salt and cover. After onions have cooked add a tablespoon of flour. Add a bay leaf. Add a cup of wine, squeeze of lemon, 2 cups chicken broth, 2 cups beef broth, 1/2 tsp fresh thyme. Let simmer for 15-20 min. Cut 4 pieces off baguette bread.
For cheese, take swiss cheese and add some Parmesan cheese. To plate, put soup in oven proof bowls, add baguette, and top with cheese. Put in oven to let cheese melt
