Granny's cornbread

| 1 cup | ap flour |
| 1 cup | cornmeal |
| 1 teaspoon | salt |
| 1 teaspoon | powder |
| 1/2 teaspoon | soda |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1 1/2 | buttermilk |
Preheat to 400. Heat cast iron with 2 tablespoons oil or bacon grease. Mix ingredients right before pouring into pan. Cook 20-25 minutes.
Can add 1/2 cup chopped jalapenos!
