Au Gratin Potatoes

1/4 c | butter |
1/4 c | flour |
1/2 t | salt |
2 c | milk |
1 c | shredded American or cheddar cheese |
1/2 c | grated parmesan cheese |
5 c (5 med.) | peeled, sliced, raw potatoes |
1/4 c | dry bread crumbs |
1 T | butter |
Heat oven to 350.
In med. saucepan, melt 1/4 c butter; stir in flour and salt. Add milk. Cook until mixture boils and thickens, stirring constantly. Stir in cheese and potatoes. Pour into greased 2 quart casserole dish. Combine crumbs with butter; sprinkle over potatoes. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until bubbly.
