| 1 3/4 Cups | Flour |
| 1 tsp. | Baking soda |
| 1/2 tsp. | Salt |
| 1 | Egg |
| 2 TBS. | Milk |
| 1tsp. | Vanilla |
| 1/2 Cup | Shortening |
| 1/2 Cup | Peanut Butter |
| 1/2 Cup | Sugar |
| 1/2 Cup | Brown Sugar |
Brach's Chocolate Stars
Cream shortening, brown sugar, sugar and peanut butter together thoroughly. Add egg, vanilla and milk until light and fluffy. Sift flour with baking soda and salt. Add to egg mixture and blend. Form dough into balls and roll in sugar. Bake at 375 for 8 minutes. When cookies are removed from oven place a chocolate star into each ball.
