1 Cup | Brown Sugar |
1 Cup | Sugar |
1 Cup | Peanut Butter |
2 Eggs unbeaten | |
2 1/2 Cups | Flour |
1 tsp. | Baking soda |
1 tsp. | Salt |
1 Package | Chocolate Chips, (12 oz.) |
Cream shortening, brown sugar, sugar and peanut butter together thoroughly. Add eggs, beat until light and fluffy. Sift flour with baking soda and salt. Add to egg mixture and blend. Roll dough into oblong shape 1/4 inch thick. Melt chocolate chips over hot boiling water. Cool slightly, spread on rolled dough with with spatula. Roll up like jelly roll and chill. Slice 1/4 inch thick. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake. Remove from pan to cake cooler immediately. After baking yields about 6 dozen cookies. Bake at 375 10-12 minutes.
