Kielbasa Dinner

½ head | green cabbage, cut into wedges |
2 large | potatoes, peeled and quartered |
2 to 3 | carrots, scrubbed, peeled, and cut into chunks |
1 | onion, quartered and chopped |
1 teaspoon | salt |
¼ teaspoon | white pepper |
½ teaspoon | caraway seeds |
1½ to 2 pounds | smoked kielbasa sausage, cut into 3-inch lengths |
1 (10.5-ounce) can | chicken broth |
Arrange cabbage wedges, potatoes, carrots, and onion in the bottom of slow cooker. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and caraway seeds. Place the sausage pieces on top of
the vegetables. Pour the broth over top.
Cover with the lid and cook on low for
6 hours.
Cook’s Note: If you prefer, you can
substitute your favorite bratwurst in place
of the kielbasa.
