Meatloaf / Burgers

1 lb | ground beef |
1 | egg, beaten |
1 | burger bun, processed for fine bread crumbs |
3 cloves | garlic |
2 | shallots, finely diced |
2 sprigs | rosemary leaves, chopped |
1/2 | grated parmesan |
olive oil | |
red wine or port | |
salt & freshly ground black pepper |
For meatloaf, preheat oven to 350 degrees F & double recipe.
Place beef, beaten egg, bread crumbs, garlic, shallots, rosemary & parmesan in a bowl. Add olive oil & red wine to create desired consistency. Season with salt & pepper. Divide into 4 burgers or shape into loaf. For meatloaf, bake for 1-1 1/2 hours. Let rest 10 minutes then serve hot with Meatloaf Tomato Relish.
