Dominican Stewed Chicken (Pollo Guisado)

1/2 tsb brown sugar | |
3 | garlic cloves, minced |
1 med | onion, chopped |
1 med | bell pepper, chopped |
1 tsp | salt |
Cilantro | |
1 cup | water |
2 tsp | tomato paste |
2 | chicken bouillon |
Heat oil in kettle. Add brown sugar; cook until sugar begins to bubble and appears burnt. Add chicken, garlic, onion, pepper, bouillon, salt and cilantro. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 20 min. Add water and tomato paste; cook until chicken is done.
