Karen's Bittersweet Molten Cakes

12 tsp plus 5 T | sugar |
8 oz | bittersweet chocolate, chopped |
3/4 cup | unsalted butter |
3 large | eggs |
3 | egg yolks |
1 T | flour |
1 qt | coffee ice cream |
Butter 8 ramekins.
Sprinkle each with 1 1/2 tsp sugar.
Stir chocolate and butter in saucepan over low until smooth.
Remove from heat.
Beat eggs and 5 T sugar until thick and pale yellow 8 mins.
Fold in 1/3 of chocolate, then add the rest. Fold in flour.
Preheat oven to 425•
bake until slightly cracked but centre is still soft 13 mins.
Top with ice cream.
