Hot Spiced Wine

Source:

    1 cup  water
    ½ cup  sugar
    1  lemon, sliced
    1  orange, sliced
    12  alspice, whole
    12  whole cloves
    1 stick  cinnamon
    1 bottle  Burgundy wine

Combine water, sugar, lemon & orange slices in a pot. Tie spices in a cheese cloth bag; to to sugar mixture & bring to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer 5 minutes. Add wine; return to boil. Reduce heat & simmer 10 minutes. Discard spice bag. Serve hot.
