1 cup | shortening |
1 1/2 cup | sugar |
2 | eggs |
2 3/4 cups | flour |
2 tsp | cream of tartar |
1 tsp | baking soda |
1/2 tsp | salt |
Beat together shortening and sugar, Add eggs and mix well. Sift together dry ingredientsand add. Chill dough. Roll into balls. Then roll in a mixture of 2 Tblsp sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon, Bake at 400 for 7-8 minutes until light brown and still soft.
