Oatmeal Crispies

| 1 cup | butter |
| 1 cup | sugar |
| 1 cup | brown sugar, packed |
| 2 | eggs |
| 1 tsp. | vanilla |
| 1 1/2 cups | flour |
| 1 tsp. | soda |
| 1 tsp. | salt |
| 3 cups | old-fashioned rolled oats |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Cream sugars and shortening. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine flour, soda, and salt. Add to sugar mixture. Stir in oats. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
Yield: ~ 50 cookies
