Tuscano Soup | |
1LB | Italian sausage, cut into bite size chunks (scissors work best.) |
1/2 Lb | bacon, cooked and cut up into small pieces |
4-6 | potatoes, cut into small chunks (I like red potatoes but russets work too) |
1 | onion, cut up |
4 cloves | garlic, sliced |
32 oz | chicken broth, maybe more as it should cover all in crock pot |
1- 1/1/2 tsps seasoned salt Seasons to taste: | |

cayenne pepper | |
30 minutes before serving: Mix 2 TB flour with | |
1 cup | half and half |
heavy cream | |
Chopped spinach |
Add to crock pot and cook on high for 30 more minutes. Or simmer on stove top.
Brown sausage, onions and garlic.
Cook on low 5-6 hours or on high for 5-6 hours.
Add all (except for flour, cream and greens) to crock pot. Cover with chicken broth.
