Instant Pot Beef Tips and Gravy with Mashed Potatoes

1 tbsp | olive oil |
1 | onion chopped |
1 pound | Sirloin Steak |
16 oz | Mushrooms baby |
1 cup | Red Wine |
2 cups | beef broth |
5 | potatoes |
3 tbsp | Corn Starch |
1 tbs | gravymaster or Kitchen Bouquet |
Instructions
Place instant Pot on saute,
Add olive oil and chopped onion
Cube Sirloin Steak into 1" pieces
Add Steak to the Instant Pot Allow to brown on each side about 1-2 minutes.
Pour in Red Wine
Pour in Beef Broth
Add Mushrooms
Chop your potatoes and place them in a steamer basket
Place a trivet on top of your mushrooms and place your steamer basket with potatoes on top of the trivet.
Place Pot on MANUAL HIGH PRESSURE For 15 minutes.
Do a Quick Release
Remove potatoes and mash
Place Pot back on saute and remove 1 cup of the liquid. Make a slurry with the cornstarch and add it back in the pan.
Stir in gravy master.
Continue on saute until sauce gets thick about 2 minutes.
Serve over your mashed potatoes.
