Rice pudding

| 1/2 gallon | milk |
| 1/4 pound | butter |
| 3/4 cup | sugar |
| 1 cup | rice |
| one | egg |
| 1/2 pint | heavy cream |
| 1 teaspoon | vanilla |
| 1 ounce | Amaretto |
| cinnamon |
Bring milk, sugar and butter to a boil. Stir rice into milk and lower to a simmer. Cook for 45 minutes making sure to stir often. Beat together the egg ,cream ,vanilla and Amaretto and add to the cooked rice. Mix thoroughly and put into a serving dish, let cool. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Refrigerate.
